This vintage style 30 CAL military ammo box has been converted into a propane forge measuring. 11L x 3 1/2W x 7H (18H including burner). Actual forge chamber workspace measurements. 9 1/2L x 5H x 2 1/4W. The inside chamber opens up to twice as big as the front opening. Front opening measures 2 1/4W x 2 1/4H at the tallest point. The interior floor consists of a 2 thick layer of ultra high grade 10# density ceramic fiber insulation not the cheap fluffy stuff like most of the others use. Make sure you’re getting the highest density ceramic fiber otherwise you’ll be getting hosed. Also included is a nonmagnetic stainless steel plate measuring 1 1/2W x 9L for added protection to extend the life of the ceramic fiber insulation. The inside is completely covered with a 1 thick layer of ultra high grade 10# density ceramic fiber insulation that completely lines the entire internal surface area and is secured to the internal chamber walls using high temp furnace cement and fireplace mortar. CERAMIC FIBER INSULATION IS COATED WITH RIGIDIZER TO EXTEND THE LIFE OF THE FORGE AND TO PREVENT FIBERS FROM BECOMING AIRBORNE. The entire forge is coated with 3-4 coats of high quality heat resistant paint. It comes equipped with a High Output Precision Tuned Burner that is perfectly tuned for this specific forge. NO CONFUSING INSTRUCTIONS THAT LEAVE YOU SAYING WTF? ! ASSEMBLY IS SO EASY JUST THREAD THE BURNER TO THE FORGE. No aggravating and confusing “adjustments” needed. (If you are not familiar with how to adjust a burner to fine tune it then you will do more damage then good with an “adjustable” burner).
